Viewing the Default Home Page

After installing, the default home page (Default.asp) for your Web server should contain a Welcome message. If you have an old version of the default home page, changes you make using the Personal Web Manager homepage wizard may not show.

Note   If you have an existing Inetpub\wwwroot folder, PWS setup will not overwrite its contents. Consequently, the homepage wizard templates may not be installed. If you wish to use the homepage wizard templates, be sure to rename your Inetpub folder or choose a different location for your default Web root folder during setup.

Installing PWS Symbols

If you need to debug PWS and are asked by product support to install the PWS Symbols, you can download the symbols from the Microsoft support web site. Go to the Microsoft Support Web Site and search on the Product "Internet Information Server" and use the keyword "Symbols" to locate the specific instructions.
